Background
The Overseas Economic Cooperation Fund (OECF, a Japanese
governmental agency for foreign aid, currently called JBIC) conducted a
survey to examine the effect of the Asian crisis. The data was collected
from October 98 to February 99 in 4 Asian nations including Thailand.
Coverage
The survey in Thailand covers 169 manufacturing companies.
Among the 169 surveyed companies, financial statements of 78 firms were
collected. The survey is composed of 4 sections (1. General information,
2. Production and export, 3. Corporate finance, and 4. Human resources),
and includes both quantitative and multiple-choice questions.
